With the general rundown of the BR/Brush Class 60 locomotive in full swing, plus the wonder of modern technology which is the mobile phone equipped with camera and Blogger, this blog will attempt to keep you informed as to the activities of the Class in its final days/months/years (?). It's also an excuse to have a dip into other items of interest to a typical rail enthusiast and of course, have the occasional rant!
Mid-Norfolk Spring Diesel Gala
The first Gala of the year was an English Electric themed event at the railway in the neighbouring County and whilst a variety of types were on offer I decided to concentrate on visiting 55022 Royal Scots Grey and Cl.40 D335.

Whilst in the modern era it is Class 60 and 56 that float my boat, I've long had a soft spot for Deltics and 40's but only managed to catch the last knockings of both classes on the "Big Railway" in my younger days, so it was great to take some time off work to enjoy these heritage classics.
