With the general rundown of the BR/Brush Class 60 locomotive in full swing, plus the wonder of modern technology which is the mobile phone equipped with camera and Blogger, this blog will attempt to keep you informed as to the activities of the Class in its final days/months/years (?). It's also an excuse to have a dip into other items of interest to a typical rail enthusiast and of course, have the occasional rant!
Elford Tugs
A new contributor to TT, Paul Keightley set in this pair of images of 60's at work at Elford, near Tamworth. Thanx Paul.
Nene Valley Tugs
For the some of the most recent Diesel Galas the NVR has been rostering a Class 60 from DBS, with the added bonus of donating the hire fee to the Teenage Cancer Trust charity.
NVR Gala
60074 took a starring role at the Nene Valley Gala on the 17th of May, I believe only the second time a 60 has participated in an event of this type. 56312 added to the interest as well as others and superb weather rounded off the attraction.
