All Change

Had another lengthy wait whilst waiting for my train yesterday morning. Recent introduction of Cl.379 EMUs has seen Cl.317s diagrams shuffled about which brought three units to Stowmarket to form the 08:11 to Liverpool Street, the furthest north on the GE mainline I've seen them.

NatEx East Anglia are actually winding down as they prepare to hand over the franchise in February. I say winding down, the franchise system dictates the incumbent operator must leave everything in a fit and tidy state. Thus stations have been spruced up and even some of the rolling stock has been recieving a fresh lick of paint, improving the look of the railway, especially the coaches and the haphazard way the 'one' branding was removed.
