We took the motor out for a drive on Friday, initially for a recce of possible phot locations around Ardleigh in Essex. There's a reason the area is not featured in the enthusiast mags, there are no phot locations!
Undeterred and to make the most of the weather, we headed for Harwich. A town full of history, my main interest was the remnants of the train ferry.
With the general rundown of the BR/Brush Class 60 locomotive in full swing, plus the wonder of modern technology which is the mobile phone equipped with camera and Blogger, this blog will attempt to keep you informed as to the activities of the Class in its final days/months/years (?). It's also an excuse to have a dip into other items of interest to a typical rail enthusiast and of course, have the occasional rant!
